Church Edit has saved the UK Church £2.15million

Church Edit, part of the UK’s leading Christian Software Company reaches a major milestone this year as it approaches 20 years since they started their church website builder.  Founder, Kyle Cottington was re-designing his local church website back in 2002 and saw the importance that the internet would bring to the church and how churches were struggling to create their own website. Whilst working in full time employment, Kyle spent many evenings and weekends developing Church Edit until the first site launched in 2003.  Church Edit hasn’t stopped growing since - from just one person at the start, there are now 13 in the team supporting churches across the UK.

In the early days many churches looking to create their first website chose Church Edit but it has long been the case that churches decide to move to Church Edit because of the many features, full support and value for money.

Whilst many web companies have come and gone over the years, Church Edit has continued to be a leader in websites and has not stopped developing and enhance the software. Just this year, after a major 18 month development, Church Edit launched an all new Design Builder giving even greater control to churches to create an attractive, professional and responsive website for their church. The Design Builder represents the biggest development for Church Edit with a complete re-write of the majority of the software.

After analysis of historical websites prices, it has been calculated that Church Edit has saved the UK church £2.15million sinces its launch. Prices for Church Edit have always been around £175pa (inc VAT) and this includes full and unlimited technical support.

Not just supporting its Church Edit users, Church Edit ran over 100 seminars between 2006 and 2013 at locations across the United Kingdom giving churches advice on creating their website. These seminars were provided at no cost to delegates and part of Church Edit’s mission to help churches to create effective websites to connect with their congregation and reach their community.

As Managing Director Kyle Cottington says:
“The church has the most important message that anyone can ever hear, which is why it is essential that church websites are kept up to date and professional. The best news we hear at Church Edit is when someone has visited a church website to find out more, and that has then been the first step on their journey to faith”.

Church Edit is giving away up to £500,000 in discounts as part of their Bounce Back offer giving churches and charities a discount on their website for the next 12 months.

The Bounce Back offer means churches that start to use Church Edit can save a discount every month during the first year helping churches as they recover from the economical effects of COVID. Churches can request a free 30 day trial of Church Edit and with the Bounce Back offer pay just £8.75 per month for the first 6 months.
