Under construction web pages

Are you familiar with the under construction pages?

They usually come with an animated image of a builder and an ‘Under construction’ sign and are quite often going to be eternally under construction!

This then reflects badly on the church site, particularly if a visitor keeps checking back to see if the page is updated.

The longest part of creating a website is writing the content and at Church Edit we recommend that pages are not created unless you actually have the content for that page.

If you know that the content is DEFINITELY going to be ready by a certain date, then it may be appropriate to create the page and put Under construction image‘This page will be updated by 'day month’, as this will cause visitors to come back to the site when they know the new content will be there.

Of course if you do this, then you must make sure that the page is updated by that date.
