Church Edit has been serving churches since 2002, with the introduction of forums in 2005 and rotas in 2006 as part of our Church Edit Member package.
Over the past 15 years, the way people communicate and organise has evolved significantly. Forums have seen a decline in usage, often replaced by more immediate messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Signal. During this time, we have continued to invest in enhancing our offerings. In 2014, we acquired iKnow Church, our comprehensive church management software, which includes a powerful rota tool that offers automated reminders and integrates seamlessly into broader administrative workflows.
Given these developments and the declining usage of the forums and rotas within Church Edit, we have made the decision to retire these two features on 1st August 2025. This change allows us to focus our efforts on maintaining and improving tools that provide the greatest value to churches today.
