Edit Websites Ltd is a software company that has created a website builder initially for charities but now also available for business and schools, and admin software for charities along with a companion mobile app. The software has been developed inhouse and is provided as Software As A Service where we develop, host and support clients using our tools. We are a small team whose software is used by organisations all around the UK.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack developer to join our team and help us to continue building great software for our clients.

If this is you and you are get a buzz from creating intuitive software solutions then your primary role will be joining the team developing our two main products which is our Website Content Management System and our Admin Management software.

The software is continually being developed so you will be joining the team that is adding new features and developing the products. As part of a small development team you will be making changes to software that is used daily by people around the UK and increasingly across the world.

You will be involved in the planning of new features and bring these ideas to life in a way that really helps our clients. The software you develop will make a real difference to our clients as you will see from the feedback received when your work is released.

You must have at least 5 years commercial programming experience working with other developers. As a Lead Developer you will be mentoring and supporting other developers ensuring that code is written to a high standard.


  • Reviewing / Submitting PRs via Github
  • Manage roll out of new features including development, testing and release
  • Out of hours support on a scheduled rota
  • Technical environment; PHP, Laravel / CodeIgniter, MySQL, React, AWS, Rest APIs, Docker, Trello


  • HTML, PHP, SQL (MySQL), JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML5, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, Laravel/CodeIgniter, GitHub
  • The will to explore and experiment with new technologies.
  • Excellent testing methodology
  • Able to handle pressure and tight deadlines
  • DevOps ideally with experience working on AWS services (S3, EC2, CloudFront)

Nice to have:

Commutable if possible, whilst we do work remotely a lot of the time due to Covid etc, we do want to get back to the office at some point in the future (especially for team outings / pizza etc). However this isn’t the end of the world if you are fully remote (within the UK).
