These are the updates added to all Church Edit sites during December 2009.

Folder Names

All Church Edit websites now have search engine friendly web address which makes it easier to link to. Previously web pages were in the format of:

http://www.yourchurchname.org.uk/content.php?page_id=X

Now they will be based on your folder/page name so if you have a folder called Contact Us then the web address will be:

http://www.yourchurchname.org.uk/contact-us/

All websites have been updated automatically to now have folder names. If you have web pages linking existing pages/folders on your website then don't worry - these will continue to work.

Custom Error Page

If someone tries to access a page on your website which does not exist then a error page will now be displayed looking similar to the rest of the site.
