The latest updates to Church Edit.

NOTE: All Church Edit websites will automatically be upgraded to the latest versions. An email will be sent to the MAIN CONTACT once your site is upgraded.

SearchSearch Engine

Your Church Edit website now has a built in search engine making it easier for visitors to find the information they want. To turn on the search engine login to Global Office and go to SETTINGS > SITE FEATURES.
When someone searches, then the PAGE TITLE and the MAIN PICTURE of any matching pages will be listed.
 

Google Analytics Support

Built into Church Edit are statistics which allows you to see how many page impressions your site is getting. Church Edit now supports Google Analytics which will provide detailed information about visitors to your site such as their location.
To turn on Google Analytics you will need to create a Google Account and get your own Google ID. For more information visit the helpfile in the website tips section.

Once you have your Google Analytics code login to Church Global Office and go to SETTINGS > SITE OPTIONS.
 

Links to Social Networking Sites

Websites such as Facebook and Twitter have made it easier to share information with friends and people around the world. Church Edit has now made it easy for your visitors to share your website with these sites. Add This is a great tool that links straight to: Facebook, Twitter and other Social Networking Sites. If enabled on your website then a link will appear at the top or bottom of every page on the site.
To turn this feature on go to SETTINGS > SITE OPTIONS.

If you are not sure what this is then why not turn it on by going to SETTINGS > SITE OPTIONS and then view a page on the website? You can always turn it off if not required.

Minor Updates

There have been a number of small updates to Church Edit such as:
Main Picture - when adding a page there is now the option to automatically generate the 'main picture' for the page by copying the first picture you have added to your webpage. A first picture will be displayed if a page is found in a search result or when listing multiple pages within one folder.
