Real Easter Egg selects Church Edit for their new website

Real Easter EggChurch Edit has been chosen to design and provide the website for the Real Easter Egg. Out of 80 million Easter Eggs sold in the UK every year, the Real Easter Egg is the first and only Fairtrade Easter Egg to explain the Christian meaning of Easter on the box.  As well as a delicious chocolate egg there is an activity pack in the box which includes the Easter story, activity poster, free i-video download  and a sticker set.  The resurrection text from Mark can also be found inside the lid.

With such a unique product and a campaign to try and establish The Real Easter Egg as a tradition the site needed to be eye catching, interactive and a top rate resource for churches and others wanting to sign-up and be involved.

The website has a news section and a section with resources for schools and churches to help them promote the egg. The team have used the locator function, built into Church Edit, to build a Google map so people can search for shops selling the eggs.

David Marshall, creator of the Real Easter Egg, said: "With Church Edit we were able to have a professional website which is easy to update and helps us to publicise the Real Easter Egg. I would highly recommend Church Edit."

Kyle Cottington, of Church Edit, said: "The real meaning of Easter is sadly unknown by many in our nation so we were really pleased to have been chosen to develop a website for the Real Easter Egg."
